How can I withdraw money from my pillar 3a account?
Early (partial) withdrawal is only possible in certain cases. You can find the options here.
Assets held in a pillar 3a account can generally only be withdrawn in full or transferred to another pension foundation or life insurance company.
This is referred to as a statutory withdrawal once you reach the reference age (no more than five years before the statutory reference age).
Early withdrawal
Early withdrawal is possible in the following cases:
- You would like to purchase residential property for your own use.
- You want to pay off a mortgage on an owner-occupied residential property.
- You would like to buy into the pension fund.
- You start your own business.
- You move abroad.
- You receive a full IV pension.
- You dissolve the previous matrimonial property regime, especially as a result of a divorce.
- You carry out value-preserving and value-enhancing renovation and conversion work on owner-occupied residential property
